Purpose

What this policy is designed to do.

To prevent avoidable injury, illness, environmental harm and operational disruption through planning, training, supervision and continuous risk management.

Who it applies to: Employees, contractors, drivers, facilities teams, warehouse personnel, visitors and project activities under Lion & Leo’s operational control.

Our commitments

The standards we expect in practice.

These principles guide decisions, conduct and day-to-day execution across the relevant parts of our business.

01

Assess material health, safety and environmental risks before high-risk work begins.

02

Provide appropriate training, supervision and protective equipment for the task.

03

Maintain safe vehicles, workplaces, warehouses and equipment.

04

Stop or escalate unsafe work where serious risk cannot be adequately controlled.

05

Report incidents, near misses and environmental events so lessons can be captured.

How we apply it

Controls that turn policy into evidence.

Controls are scaled to the nature, value and risk of the activity rather than treated as a one-size-fits-all checklist.

01

Task or site risk assessments for material hazards.

02

PPE requirements and safety induction for relevant roles.

03

Vehicle maintenance, defensive-driving expectations and route-risk controls.

04

Emergency-response planning and basic preparedness for fire, medical and security events.

05

Incident reporting, investigation and corrective-action tracking.

Accountability

Clear ownership matters.

Managers are accountable for safe planning and adequate resources.

Workers must follow safety requirements and report dangerous conditions.

Facilities and fleet teams maintain critical safety systems and equipment.

Leadership reviews significant incidents and recurring risks.
